Grip aids make golf possible for players with hand impairments
GAP Adaptive’s No Limit Clinics provide a perfect opportunity for people with disabilities to either try Adaptive Golf for the first time, or to sharpen their existing swing mechanics. During instruction, Clinic participants can test a variety of Adaptive Golf aids and find equipment that contributes to their golfing success. A good golf swing begins with a good grip. For Adaptive Golfers with hand impairments or injuries, grip strength and control can be challenging. Below are three Adaptive Golf grip aids participants can try at GAP Adaptive’s No Limit Clinics.
Angled Aids by Active Hands

The Angled Aid by Active Hands is designed for golfers who have difficulty maintaining a firm grip on the club due to limited strength or mobility. This innovative glove-like device features an angled design that naturally positions the club in a way that promotes stability and consistency in the golf swing. Velcro straps ensure the club remains in place during the golf swing. By improving club alignment and reducing strain on the hands and wrists, the Angled Aid allows golfers to focus on technique instead of their grip. Adaptive Golfers who experience wrist immobility or struggle with maintaining hand control will find this aid particularly useful. The Angled Aid enables a natural and effective swing motion.
Quantum GRIP by PING

The Quantum GRIP by PING assists Adaptive Golfers with a specialized glove and grip system. The aid works by firmly securing the club in place for Adaptive Golfers with weak grip strength. The product features both a specialized glove and complimentary clubs to provide a reliable grip solution. The glove is designed to interact seamlessly with the club’s grip, ensuring the golfer can swing with confidence without worrying about losing club control. When used correctly, the Quantum GRIP allows for a smooth, relaxed swing optimizing both comfort and performance.
Velcro-based hand strap

The Velcro-based hand strap is a solution designed for players with more severe grip weakness. The strap wraps securely around the golfer’s hand and the club, ensuring a firm hold regardless of grip strength. The Velcro strap not only stabilizes the club in the golfer’s hand, but also provides the freedom to execute a full and controlled swing without the club slipping. This simple yet effective product ensures control and confidence for Adaptive Golfers. The Velcro-based hand strap is currently unavailable for retail.
